The Impact of Drug Addiction on Corporates
Today, a large number of drug use. According to the SAMHSA survey, almost 75% over the 16.4 million drug transactions. This medication is a serious threat to the productivity of a company. Employers are responsible for symptoms in humans and the use of tests to detect drugs. Early intervention reduces the corporate responsibility and protection of the population of life-threatening effects of drugs.
Symptoms:
Symptoms of addiction must be determined by staff quickly to prevent future problems. The symptoms of drug addicts are sick, improbable excuses for maintaining unreliable in meeting deadlines and appointments. They make mistakes because of bad advice and supervision. Drug addicts have difficulty concentrating, light on details, and they are confused.
Loss:
Drug addicts are more prone to accidents and injuries. They lead to high productivity and lower employee morale in a company. The drug can cost millions of dollars to employers in the form of reduced working time, the rising cost of health care and reduced productivity. In addition, an addict to 5 times more likely to have employee compensation. In total, they can cost up to 100 billion U.S. dollars per year to an employer.
Drug Testing:
Detect drug workers, unemployed workers to undergo drug testing. There are four types of common tests for drugs. They are
• Pre-Employment Drug Testing: These tests are essential because they used on the candidates and they block the entrance into the drug trade.
• Post Accident Drug Testing: This test is used when an employee is involved in an accident.
• Random Drug Testing: In this method, one or more employees selected by a random procedure for doping.
• reasonable suspicion test: This test is performed when the employee is presumed to be under the influence of drugs at the workplace.
Employers must act in time to make the symptoms of drug addicts in the field and drug testing. Whatever medication you try to use the employer, there is always a positive return on investment of the company. This helps the employee to save the company money and drugs.
